What is AFF?

AFF (Accelerated Free Fall} is the best way to learn Skydiving. It is personalised professional 'one on one' instruction. The course is designed to get you to a standard where you are safe and confident to jump own. The program consists of 8 jumps: the first 3 jumps will be with 2 instructors from from 12500 feet. Once you have demonstrated your ability to fly stable and pull your own ripcord at a safe height, you will progress to Level 4 and will jump with one instructor until you are qualified.

Your freefall skills are gently increased on each level until level 8, where you finally get to make a jump on your own. Yahoo!!!

What are the Benefits of AFF?

Before AFF came along getting qualified was a bit of a slog, it took sometimes the best part of a summer just to qualify. AFF has changed all that, this revolutionary way of teaching is the quickest, easiest and most motivating way to learn the sport.

It gives you time in freefall to get used to the surroundings and start to learn, this coupled with the sense of security you feel having an instructor right there with you correcting any problems with in-air instruction. AFF is the way forward.

What Qualifications do AFF Instructors need?

In the UK, an AFF instructor must have at least 1000 jumps and 10 hours in freefall. In most other countries, the instructor only needs 6 hours in freefall. (Our instructors have over 80 hours in freefall and are vastly experienced.) The instructor will also have passed the AFF Instructors course, which is extremely demanding and tests the ability of the instructor to not only skydive, but also to teach and get the best out of people. Our Instructors are some of the most experienced in the UK

How long does the course take?

7 to 10 days will give you time to finish the course and make your consolidation jumps. Some people qualify in 3 to 5 days.

What happens after the course?

After you have finished the course to qualify as a "category Eight" skydiver, you make 10 consolidation jumps. These are solo jumps where you practice the skills that we have taught you. Whilst these jumps must be solo, the instructor is never far away and is coaching you throughout.

Can I jump anywhere in the world......?

When you have finished the AFF course and obtained your British FAI "A" licence you can jump anywhere in the UK. To jump in other countries you will need to obtain your FAI International "A" licence, which is: 25 Freefall jumps. 5 Minutes of Freefall time. 5 formation (FS) jumps or, 5 freefly (FF) jumps, involving at least 2 participants and made under the supervision of an instructor. Demonstration of control of the body in freefall in all axes (backloops, turns, barrel rolls etc.). Ability to pack a main parachute.

What if I have to re-jump a level?

You may not progress on a level as much as you or your instructor would like and you may agree to "re-jump" a level before moving on to the next stage. The cost for re-jumps are shown below. If you want to re-jump levels 1 to 3, these are the most expensive because there are two instructors with you.

Many people just breeze through the eight levels, others need the odd re-jump before they are happy to progress to the next level.

Re-jumps prices are as follows:-
Levels 1-3 £100
Levels 4-7 £ 60
Level 8 £ 20]
